This day was reserved for Safari. Gir National Park has three Safari Slots per day. We had chosen to go on two safari. One was 6AM and other was 4PM. Our hotel arranged for safari permits in advance but one still has to go for permit for cameras to Sinh Sadan. Fortunately Sinh Sadan is just next doors from hotel, so it was not much of a hassle.
These safaris cover quite a distance. Here is the first safari route.

Here are some of the photos from both the safaris. We got to see two prides of lions and many other animals and birds. It was hot but sightings more than made up for them.
