Silicon Valley to Indus Valley

We started on a road trip with primary target being Rakhigarhi in Haryana and some other places around that.

We stared from our home in Bengaluru at 6:20 am and continued driving towards Hyderabad. The first stop was Big Bay India for a breakfast. We arrived at 8:00 am and left at 8:40 am after finishing our breakfast and coffee.

Continued driving for next four hours and arrived at Lepakshi Multicuisine Restaurant. This place has a fantastic EV charging setup so I charged the car as well. This is the best charging setup between Bengaluru to Hyderabad.

Spent around 50 minutes and finished Lunch. Arrived at 12:30 pm and left the place at 1:30 pm.

Continued driving from next approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes and arrived in Fairfield by Marriott in Hyderabad at 4:30 pm.

Got ready, had breakfast and checked out at 07:00am. 

Drove for almost two hours and saw a new charger at Shiva's Dining. Just stopped to checkout the charger. and left after 10 minutes.

At 10:25 am stopped at Jio-BP in Armoor and topped up the car for around 25 minutes. This places doesn't help me much with charging because it comes too early in the drive and even if I make my car 100% I can't reach my destination. So I just use this palce for bio-break and a coffee.

After this stopped, I drove continuously for almost four and half hours and stopped at Vithal Kamat in Hinghanghat. Here I had my Lunch and also charged the car.

Left this place at 3:00 pm and drove for three hours, crossed Nagpur and Stopped at Cube Stop on NH-44 near Rukhad. When I arrived here, there was powercut so decided to leave but by the time I used the restroom, the power had come back. This place has a Statiq charger so decided to charge here and have some tea and snacks. This eventually became a longish break and I left at 7:00 pm

Drove for next almost four hours and fifteen minutes, crossed Jabalpur and stopped in Maihar. I had found that there is a charger from Adani in a hotel called Hotel Vrinda. Since it was already 11:40 pm, decided to stay here for the night.

Hotel Vrinda was not a nice place to stay. Since it is just next to the national highway and rooms were not really soundproofed, the sleep was not good and I automatically got up at 5:00 am. So rather than waiting here, I decided to leave. 

Drove through Satna and arrived in Chitrakoot. This road was bad in terms of breakfast nothing was open and the road was bad from just around Satna. Nevertheless arrived in Chitrakoot at 9:00 am. Directly got on to Bundelkhand Expressway at 9:00 am and as soon as you enter the expressway, there are Adani chargers. For a change, this charger was working, so I put the car for charging. Actually there are Adani chargers near every entry/exit but many of them don't work. With Adani my experience has been mixed.

Also there are pretty much no amenities on Bundelkhand Expressway, so I charged, made my own team, had some cookies and that became my breakfast for the day.

Spent almost 1 hour and 20 minutes here. Some other fellow EV drivers had come so helped them with charging etc and finally left at 11:00 am.

From here continuously drove till rest stop in Yamuna Expressway. Arrive here at 3:40 pm and had my Lunch and coffee and charged here on Tata charger. Left this place at 5:20 pm.

Finally arrived in Noida at 7:30 pm.

09-February-2026

Started from Noida little late. Was little tired after two and half days of driving. We left at 10:00 am. Drove towards Ambala and stopped at Amrik Sukhdev in Murthal for our breakfast. We arrive at 11:50 am and left at 12:40 pm. 

Drove towards Rakhigarhi and arrived in Rakhigarhi at 2:30 pm.

We left Rakhigarhi at 4:10 pm and continued driving towards Pushkar. We had decided that we next wanted to go to Pushkar. 

After driving for four hours, we arrived at Mannat in Paota and it was already 8:00pm. We decided to stop here for charging and dinner but then decided to stay there for the night. They had rooms, we rented one and checked in.

10-February-2026

We had our breakfast and left the place at 10:15 am. We drove for two and half hours and stopped at Old Rao Hotel at 12:55 pm. We had our lunch here and also charged the car here. We left the place at 1:40 pm.

From there we continuously drove to our destination, Pushkar. We arrived in Pushkar at 2:50 pm and checked into Sterling Pushkar.

In the evening we went to Brahma Temple and walked around the Pushkar Lake. Then we had dinner in a restaurant that was highly recommended on tripadvisor but we found it bad.

Finally retired for the day.

We got ready, had our breakfast and decided to drive towards Alway. But before reaching Alwar, we wanted to visit Bhangarh Fort first.

We left hotel at 10:35 am and drove for almost two hours and stopped at Hotel Highway Kings in Bagru. We also did a top-up in our car here.

We arrived on Bhangarh fort at 3:30 pm.

After finishing Bhangarh Fort, we found we had just enough time to visit Chand Baori, Abhaneri. We neft Bhangarh Fort at 4:05 pm and arrived in Chand Baori at 5:30 pm. This is a nice place to visit. Compared to step wells in Gujarat, I found it much better.

This place has a stepwell and a temple next doors. We visited both the places and left from here at almost 7:00 pm. Our destination for the night was Alwar. We arrived in hotel The Ferns, Alwar at 8:10 pm. They have a nice destination charger which was very helpful.

12-Febrary-2026

We had a relaxed morning, had breakfast and decided to visit some local monuments in Alwar. We had decided to go to Bala Quila but we realized that due to a landslide there is no access road to that place. So we decided to visit Moosi Maharani ki Chhatri which is in Alwar town.

This is a nice place but not very popular. Even the tickets could only be bought using cash.

Finally we left the hotel at 6:00 pm. We had earlier planned on one more day of stay but due to some exigencies we had to leave one day early.

We drove from Alwar and got on to Mumbai-Delhi expressway. We arrived back in Noida at 11:20 pm. We stayed in Noida for next few days.

15-February-2026

We were planning on leaving Noida on 16th but we heard of a thing called AI Summit and was told that there might be some traffic disruptions due to that. So we decided to leave a day earlier and drive up to Gwalior.

We left Noida at 1:30 pm and took Yamuna Expressway, crossed Agra and arrived in Gwalior at 7:30 pm. We checked into Taj Usha Kiran Palace Gwalior. They have a nice destination charger which was helpful.

16-February-2026

We left at 12:00pm  and drove towards Bhopal. We stopped at K2 Square Highway Treat at 3:15 pm near Guna for our Lunch. We left this place at 4:00pm and stopped at Sonakunj Hotel near Narsinghgarh at 6:10pm.

We finally arrive at our home in Bhopal at 8:30 pm.

We stayed in Bhopal for next few days and then left for our home in Bengaluru.

20-February-2026

Left Bhopal at 6:00 am. Stopped at Midway Treat near Shahpur for morning tea at 8:30 am. They also have a charger that one could use. When we reached, some buses were charging so we didn't bother. In any case it is too early for us to charge. We left this place at 9:15 am.

We crossed Nagpur and stopped in Jio-BP for a bio break at 12:45pm. We also put the car for top-up here. We left at 1:05pm.

This section has a peculiar issue with respect to my car. If  I get a charger around 400 kilometers from my home, I can reach Hyderabad with a single charger. But most chargers are either before or after. There is a charger near Zuzharpur but there is nothing to do here. But this time we stopped here. We arrived at 3:15 pm and charged upto 3:50 pm.

We drove for another two hours and stopped at Sardarji Family Dhaba near Nirmal. We arrived at 5:18 pm and left at 5:46 pm.

After this we continuously drove to Hyderabad and checked into Fairfield by Mariott.

21-February-2026

We checked out and left the hotel at 11:20am. We drove for one and half hour and stopped at Driftnation Food court in Jadcherla. We arrived at 12:42pm and left and 1:11pm.

We drive for another four hours and stopped at McDonald's in Ananthpur. On this day, this place was a mess and they were just forgetting orders. For a fastfood place, we spent an hours in just eating. We arrived here at 5:14pm and left at 6:15pm

We drove for one and half hour and arrived in Samara's Veg near Bagepalli. We decided to finish our dinner. We arrived at 7:44pm and left at 8:36pm. 

We finally arrived at our home in Bengaluru at 11:20pm.
